With highly pathogenic H5N8 rapidly spreading throughout Europe, IDvet offers a range of highly specific and sensitive Influenza ELISAs to efficiently monitor spread of the disease.
The ID Screen® Influenza H5 competitive ELISA has been validated by several European reference laboratories to detect new circulating clades, including H5N8. The test may be used to screen for H5 antibodies and/or monitor rHVT-H5 vaccine uptake. It may also be used to confirm positive results obtained with the nucleoprotein-based ELISAs.
If screening for disease in chickens and turkeys only, use the ID Screen® Influenza A Nucleoprotein Indirect ELISA which offers the highest sensitivity of any Influenza antibody test on the market. As it specifically detects NP antibodies, the test can be used to detect natural infection in animals vaccinated with rHVT-H5 vaccines alone. The test may also be used to monitor killed vaccines and is ideally suited to monitoring disease in SPF animals thanks to its high sensitivity.
If testing both domestic and wild avian species in regions without vaccination, choose the ID Screen® Influenza A Competitive ELISA, which detects anti-nucleoprotein (NP) antibodies in multiple species.
Many countries, including France and Germany, are using IDvet products to monitor the current outbreaks, screening with the nucleoprotein test and confirming (or screening) with the H5 ELISA.
As an expert in the development of Influenza serological tools, IDvet also offers ELISAs which specifically detect H7, H9, N1, N2 and N9 antibodies.
