Johne's Disease, or Paratuberculosis, is a chronic infectious wasting disease caused by Mycobacterium avium subsp. paratuberculosis (Map). ELISA serological testing is a valuable tool for the surveillance of Map infection, and ID VET has developed an adsorbed indirect ELISA, ID Screen® Paratuberculosis Indirect, for diagnosis in bovine, caprine, and ovine serum and plasma, and in bovine milk. |

| Description |
- Ferric Mycobactin J is an iron chelated substance used as a supplement in laboratory culture media as a growth promoter for the isolation of mycobactin dependent Mycobacterium subsp.
- Incorporation into culture medium enables the cultivation of Mycobacterium avium subsp. paratuberculosis (MAP) in approximately 16 to 18 weeks
- Enhances the growth of fastidious strains of Mycobacterium sp., which otherwise could not be isolated.
