Johne's Disease, or Paratuberculosis, is a chronic infectious wasting disease caused by Mycobacterium avium subsp. paratuberculosis (Map). ELISA serological testing is a valuable tool for the surveillance of Map infection, and IDvet has developed an adsorbed indirect ELISA, ID Screen® Paratuberculosis Indirect, for diagnosis in bovine, caprine, and ovine serum and plasma, and in bovine milk.

  • Enhances the growth of fastidious strains of Mycobacterium sp., which otherwise could not be isolated.
