| ID Screen® Chlamydophila abortus Indirect ELISA kit |
Chlamydia abortus is a major cause of abortion in ruminants.
Serological diagnosis based on whole bacteria (CFT or ELISA) is neither very sensitive nor specific, and cross-reactions with the LPS of Chlamydophila pecorum are common.
The ID ScreenŽ Chlamydophila abortus Indirect ELISA uses a synthetic antigen from a major outer-membrane protein (Momp) specific to Chlamydia abortus, which reduces the frequency of non-specific reactions. |
